She was a graduate of Pleasure Ridge Park High School and a member of Rutledge Road Baptist Church.
Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Mitchell Sr., a son Curtis Eugene Mitchell and grandchild, Kenzie Ray Jeffries, her parents Richard and Ethel Henon, and 2 brothers Thomas and Hubert Henon.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Robert Mitchell Jr., Kevin W. Mitchell (Camie), Tamathia L. Jeffries, Malissa A. Phillips (Edward), Perry W. Mitchell and Mar-Lee M. Mitchell Taylor (Stafonia); 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, 2 brother, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday at Evergreen Funeral Home with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral Home from 2-8 pm Tuesday.
