Martha Jane Hinton, 65, of Louisville passed on March 10, 2013.
She was a retired Interpreter for the Deaf with Jefferson Community College and was past President of the KYRD. Martha was a former board member of The Licensing Board of Interpretations. She was an advocate for the deaf community and was devoted to enriching the lives of those she served.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Butch” Hinton.
Left to cherish her memory is her four children, Renada Steurer, Timothy Hinton, Anthony Hinton (Vicky) and Lori Davis (Gary); two siblings, Susan Tedder (Marshall) and Donnie Letcher (Sue); eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 12NOON on Friday, March 15, 2013 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Westport Village. Burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-8 pm on Thursday.
