Margit Ruth King

Here to carry on her memory are her children, Rosemarie Manley (Don), Cliff King (and the late Susan Ackerman King), Randy King (Carolyn), Roger King (Brenda), and Sonja Chafin (Gerald); her grandchildren Kevin King, Tara Duff (Mark), Lori Derry (Jason), Erica Loyall (Billy), Robin Manning (Aaron), Allison Thrower (Mitch), and Stephen Chafin (Kimbra); and her great-grandchildren Hunter Loyall, Grace Derry, Tyler Manning, Mason Manning, Avery Manning, and Juniper Chafin.

Margit was born on August 28, 1928 in Berlin, Germany. She came to America in 1948 and became an American citizen in 1996. Margit retired from Bremner Biscuit Company. She enjoyed spending time with her family, tending to her flowers, drinking her coffee, and in her later days, milkshakes!

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. A funeral service in Margit’s honor will begin at 1:00 PM, with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus of Louisville, St. Jude, or LWC Singers.
