Margaret L. "Peg" Link Yonts

She was a longtime member of Christ Church United Methodist, where she served many years as Elementary Children's Sunday School Coordinator, taught adult Sunday school classes and played piano for the Pathfinder's Sunday School class.

Peg loved music and was a member of the Sweet Adelines chorus for many years. She also served as a Den Mother for Cub Scouts pack 317. A 1943 graduate of Shawnee High School, Peg attended the University of Louisville. She enjoyed reading a wide variety of subjects and wrote poetry as well.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 65 years, James F. Yonts; sons, Jim Yonts (Gail) and Robert "Rob" Yonts, of Louisville; and granddaughters, Amanda G. Yonts, of Louisville and Julie Yonts Woosley (Kevin), of Tuscaloosa, AL.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Christ Church United Methodist, 4614 Brownsboro Road, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation: 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 7410 Westport Road.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to special friends from Hosparus, Diana, Kathy and Kay, as well as the rest of the outstanding staff there.

The family asks that memorial gifts be made to Christ Church United Methodist or Hosparus in lieu of flowers.
