Margaret Margie Elizabeth Mattingly Ryan

She was born in New Hope, KY on February 26, 1934 to George "Rodney" and Mary Ruby Hagan Mattingly, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel; and her sister, Nancy Donnelly (John). Margie worked at Brown & Williamson, and was a longtime school crossing guard with JCPS. She, along with her husband Samuel were founding members of St. Ignatius Catholic Church.

Margie is survived by her son, Allen Ryan; daughter, Lorna Mengedoht; her only grandson C. J. Mengedoht; sister, Rita Butler (Sam); brothers Jimmy Mattingly (Inez), George "Marcy" Mattingly, Tommy Mattingly (Sheila), David Mattingly, Joe "Leon" Mattingly (Judy), Frank Mattingly (Martha), Danny Mattingly (Darnell), and Bobby Mattingly; and by many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held at St. Ignatius Catholic Church at 11:00am on Monday. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday at Evergreen Funeral Home. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Margie's name to the St. Ignatius Chapter of St. Vincent dePaul.
