She was preceded in death by her parents John W. and Margaret R. Cook.
She is survived by siblings Michael, of Skokie, IL, Anne Cook of Louisville, Lawrence Cook of Louisville, and Robert Cook of Los Altos, California.
She was a gifted pianist. She studied music therapy at Kansas University, and worked as a rehabilitation counselor.
