Marce Allen Limer

He was lovingly known as either "Pops" or Dad to those closest to him. He was truly one of the most selfless and generous persons anyone could be blessed to know, he brought joy to everyone, and never met a stranger. He left this earth with the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Marce proudly played basketball for Louisville Male High School in the 1950's, was a veteran of the United States Navy serving from 1956-1962, a Mason, the owner and proprietor of Cardinal Key Market in Louisville for 38 years and a booster of the Fairdale High School Sports program. He was born to Ira and Cassie Limer on November 30, 1933.

He is survived by his brother Ed (Laura) Limer; sister, Alberta Bainbridge of Seattle, WA; his daughter, Belinda Knott; son, Gregory Limer (Donna); grandchildren, Carrie Knott and Alan Richardson; four great-grandchildren; also his longtime companion, Marie Blakeman, her five children, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

His Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Monday from 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
