Louise graduated from Kentucky Weslyan and became a teacher of high school Math and English. When Louise and Eurie retired they continued to participate in the education field by providing daycare for children in their home. This was a wonderful experience for them for many years. The parents and their children became an extended family. Lou always gave to others in a way that was sacrificial to her own needs and she warmly cared for all of her family and friends. She was a member of Watkins United Methodist Church and also attended Bible study at John Knox Presbyterian Church. She was an avid athletics and sports fan, especially of the UK Wildcats. Lou was a trooper to the end will be missed by all and her memories will last forever.
She is survived by five children Patricia Kay Biscopink, CPA (Dr. Ron Biscopink), Gary H. Smith, Ann S. Fox (Dr. Douglas Fox), Dr. William Hayden Smith, and Eurie Hayes Smith III, Esq. (Vertner Smith). Louise is also survived by her sister Evelyn Cassell (Glenn). Louise had eight grandchildren Alec Biscopink, Melissa Fox Murphy, MBA, Dr. Douglas Fox Jr., David Fox, AIA, Ryan Smith, Esq., Colin Smith, Dr. Sarah S. Smith and Eurie H Smith IV, Esq. and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eurie Hayes Smith, Jr.
Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Watkins United Methodist Church, 9800 Westport Rd. Private interment will take place at Floydsburg Cemetery.
In lieu of customary expressions, donations may be given to Watkins United Methodist Church or John Knox Presbyterian Church.
