10 years ago I moved right across from Linda. The man I was living with had told me that she was nice & he would go see her time to time. I didn’t realize he had given her my phone number. For several years she would call my phone on my birthday. She would tell me how sweet & kind I was. How beautiful & deserving of love I was. That she had thought about me often & didn’t want me to be in pain due to what happened. She told me How strong I was for having endured such a life of constant pain. That I deserved to be happy & loved. I remember thinking how I wanted to be as beautiful as her when’s I reached her age. How I wanted to be as kind & radiate giving love like she did. It never failed May 4th she called leaving me such a beautiful message something neither of my parents ever done for me. She showed me a love I will never forget. A love idk if I will ever feel deserving of.! Thank you Linda for the hugs, the talks when I didn’t think I could take anymore, & such warm embrace that I only found in you. You were the most beautiful woman I’ve ever had the joy of knowing. I wish I had spent much more time with you. I will never ever forget our Christmas’s where we exchanged gifts nearly every year. I appreciate All the tender words & kindness you put into me. I wish I had known so I could have repaid your kindness. I love you my dear friend. You were/are truly an angel & I feel more than blessed  to have had you in my life. Thank you for the courage you instilled in me. I only wish I was half the friend you were to me to you. I can still hear your kind voice & see your beautiful smile. You encouraged the best of me in a time I needed all the strength I could muster bc I didn’t want to go on. Little did I know that I would meet my very own guardian angel. Thank you Linda for all of it, every single second.’if not for you I don’t know that I would have found such courage to love myself & move on. You truly are one of God’s angels! Ty from the bottom of my heart! Love u!

I call this one “The Golden Girls.” I didn’t even eat this night. Just being with these two ladies was fulfilling. We always had the best of laughs together.

6 years ago I moved into my first home with my husband. Not long after was there a knock at our door from our new neighbor “Linda”. That initial greeting turned into a strong friendship. Not a day went by that we didn't check in on each other. My family of 2 had soon turned into a family of 3. Linda was so excited for the life of my daughter Evelyn.  Little did she know… less than a year after I had my daughter, Linda became a great grandmother to sweet Emmersyn. Linda loved her people something fierce! I’ve been blessed to have crossed paths with her. God definitely knew we needed to meet. I’m so happy Linda held onto every ounce of who she was until the end. In her last days, she knew who she was looking at, and no matter the pain her smile shined through. My heart goes out to the family and friends of Linda. We will miss her tremendously, but comforted that she is finally at peace.
