Lillie Ruth Byrd

Mrs. Byrd was born in Louisville, Kentucky having been delivered at home by her Aunt Ruth. She was an honors graduate of the Class of 1950 from Mercy High School. For over 25 years, she worked as the Director of Finance for Kentucky Medical Association. She was loved dearly by her family and will be greatly missed.

Lillie was proceeded in death by her husband of 54 years, Larry Byrd; son, Michael Hahn; grandson, Matthew Hahn; parents, George and Freda Holthouser; sisters, Corinna Walker and Dot Hutchenson; and brothers, Fred and Johnny Holthouser.

Left to cherish Lillie’s memory are her sister, Karen Short; daughter, Carletta Hahn Fortwengler (Phil); sons, Richard Hahn (Gloria) and Paul Byrd (Kym); grandchildren, Lonnie Fortwengler, Jeff Fortwengler (Michelle), Bobby Fortwengler, Rick Ridge (Laura), Phil Fortwengler Jr.(Tricia), Kenny Fortwengler (Kirstie), Hilary Hahn Vaid (Ashish), Grayson Byrd, Colby Byrd; 14 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

A private family service will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home.
