Lenora Rooks

Lenora Rooks, 98, entered into rest on Saturday, May 19, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She worked for a short period of time but decided to make her career as a mother and homemaker. She preceded in death by her husband, Welby Rooks; her parents, George and Eva Grant, Sisters, Ina Bradley, Ion Clemons, Elsie Higdon, Adele Loyd; Brothers, Ishmael, Laymon, and Lawrence Grant; Stepchildren, Tyler, Welby, Ruth, Cecil; Grandson, Tony; Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Avery, Rollan, Gene, C.C.,Hollan and Alvin Rooks; Daughters, Ida, Bonnie, Dorothy, Judy; Sister, Vange Lush; Daughter in law, Kathy; Son in laws, Norman and Tom and Ernest and many , many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren that she loved very much. Her motherly traits never left her and hopefully she passed them on to us. She will be missed. Lenora funeral service will be on Wednesday at 12noon at the Advantage Funeral Home - Hardy Chapel, with burial following in Bethany Cemetery.
