Born in Eddyville, KY, she spent most of her life in Louisville. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and she was an avid bridge player.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, George E. Stokes.
Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie Lund (Scott); grandchildren, Steven (Lindsey), Jennifer, and Christine; nephews, Robert Young, Philip Stallins, and Gary Young; and nieces, Laura Robards and Sarah Jane Young.
Her funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at Bethany United Methodist Church, 6100 Moorman Road, followed by burial at Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Tuesday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy and after 10:00 am Wednesday at the church.
