Laura Frances Clarkson, 78, passed away Thursday. She was born April 1, 1937 to the late Kenneth and Nancy Hughes Singleton. As a professional nanny and caregiver, she helped manage the households of several families. The children she helped to raise, continue to love her as their second mother.
She was a life- long member of Beargrass Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband William Clarkson.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1 pm Tuesday in the chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle, 2428 Frankfort Avenue with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 12 to 1 pm Tuesday.
