He was a proud veteran and a retired truck driver, Larry was also an active Deacon and a member at The Unity Missionary Baptist Church.
Larry was met at the gates of Heaven by his parents, Harding and Bertrice Johnson; siblings, Stephen Johnson, Danny Johnson, and Ronnie Johnson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Bernita Johnson; children, Aaron Johnson and Angel Reece; grandchildren, Nick, Tiffany, Danielle, Bo, Blake, and Emma; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Michael Johnson(Sandy), Mark Johnson and Betty Hornback (Gary). Larry also leaves nieces, nephews, good friends, and his church family.
A funeral service for Larry will be held on Thursday at 12:00pm at The Unity Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00pm to 8:00pm at Advantage Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held on Thursday at 10:00am until service time at the church.
