Katie Ilene Newton

97, entered into rest on August 23, 2017.

She was the retired owner of Katie’s Laundrette. Mrs. Newton was a member of Homemakers, Couples Club, Wranglers Square Dancing, and the Conestoga Camping Club. She helped everyone any way she could and always shared a kind word.

Mrs. Newton was preceded in rest by her parents, brothers, sisters and a great-grandchild, Jayson.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Clarence Newton, Jr.; a daughter, Belinda Gardner Randall; three grandchildren, Lynette and Lisa Angell and Jonathan Randall; six great-grandchildren, Tabatha and Tiffany Waller, Olivia and Daniel Heinz, Caydence and Aurelia Randall; three great-great-grandchildren, Makayla, Jaice and Maddie.

Her Celebration of Life will be on Saturday at 10am at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway with entombment following in Evergreen Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Friday from 2pm until 8pm. Please bring your fond memories and photos.
