Karen Sue Eldridge, 61 of Louisville, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, January 25th, 2016. She joined her father and mother, Bob & Doris Tinsley and brother and sister, Bobby & Diane. Born December 31st 1954, Karen graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1976 and worked for IBM until her retirement 33 years later. She continued working in Louisville for Ceridian SVS. Karen was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church and was known as a selfless, loving, compassionate friend & mother. Left to carry on her spirit, her husband of 30 years: Bob Eldridge; children: Christopher (Katy), Matthew (Ellie), Tres (April); Debra Schmid (Bob); grandchildren: Abigail, Grace, Magnolia & Evelyn. A service to celebrate Karen’s life will be held Friday at 11am at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Hwy. Interment will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Family and friends will be received for visitation Thursday from 2-7pm at the funeral home and Friday from 10am until time of the service. Memorial contributions in Karen’s memory may be made to Hosparus of Louisville.
