Julia Margaret Duncan

Julia Margaret Duncan, 88, of Louisville, passed away at her son's home with her family by her side on the morning of December 27,2014. She was the former Julia Beatty and a Baptist by faith. Julia belonged to the Telephone Pioneers, the CWA and had been president of the PTA when all of her children were young and in school. She loved working crossword puzzles and word puzzles of any kind along with crocheting.

Preceding her in death was her loving husband, Arvest Mire Duncan in 2007.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Charlene "Gayle" Burks (David), Charles (Susan) Duncan and Mark Duncan; grandsons, Justin Burks (Alexis), Sean (Kayla) and Ryan Duncan; great granddaughter Jo Burks and sister-in-law, Sandra Uzzell.

A Life Celebration will be on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at noon at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
