Christian, Juanita Florence, 85, of Okolona passed away February 21, 2015 at Baptist Health. She was born January 31, 1930 in Little Rock, Arkanas to Thomas H. and Laura E. Higginbotham. Her joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grand babies. She also enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts, and rolling dice.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Stuart Eugene “Gene” Christian; four brothers; three sisters; and one great grandson.
Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Stan (Joyce), Mitch (Terri), and Mike (Shannon); 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and another due in June.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday at noon at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services-Okolona. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private at Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of customary forms of sympathy, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Juanita’s name to St. Jude’s Hospital.
