She was born in Danville, Kentucky on May 7, 1916 to John and Ella Hudson.
She was a graduate of Danville High School class of 1934 and then moved to
Louisville where she worked at Bernheim Distillery; during WWII at
Charlestown Powder Plant office, and at Berwyn Moore stock brokerage.
Her volunteer activities included Cub Scout Den Mother, Waverly Hills
Geriatric Center Ladies Auxiliary, Valley Christian Church
Women’s Fellowship, 4-H leader, and various leadership roles in the Valley
Women’s Club. She married Howard B. Yeager on December 27, 1947 in
Frankfort, Ky. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard B. Yeager
and siblings, Charles L. Hudson, Roy W. Hudson, Daisy Hudson Downs,
and Opal Lee Hudson Phelps. Survivors include two sons: Don Yeager
(Pam), Mark Yeager (Janet) and a daughter Ann Frost (Jack), six grand-
children and four great grandchildren. The family would like to
express their grateful appreciation to her caregivers: Jeanne and C.W.
Milburn, Tonia Elmore and Patricia Thornsbury. Visitation is from 10-noon
Saturday at W.G. Hardy Funeral Home and Cremation Service; 10907 Dixie
Highway. Service will be 12:15 pm Saturday at Bethany Cemetery
followed by a 1 p.m. gathering at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers
donation may be made to Hosparus or charity of choice.
