Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of Parkland Baptist Church and a former member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and was retired from Ryder Truck and Leasing. Joseph enjoyed camping and fishing at Rough River and being with family and friends.
His parents, his sister, Margaret Young preceded Joseph in death.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of almost 45 years, Brenda, son, Troy Manges(Michelle), daughter, Heather Porter(Eric), five grandchildren, William, Jacob, Alyssa, Aaron and Alayna; siblings, Mary O’Banion, John Thompson Jr, Joyce Hyatt and many loved ones and friends.
A memorial gathering will be Saturday, November 25, 2023 from 4pm-6pm with a memorial service beginning at 6pm at Parkland Baptist Church, 7206 Shepherdsville Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40219.
Donations may be made in care of the family to help with funeral expenses.
