Offutt, Sgt. Joseph E., 77, of Crescent Hill went to his Heavenly Father Monday, August 15, 2011 at his home. He was a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic School and a long time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Joseph honorably served his country in the Korean and Vietnam Wars as a staff Sgt. in the Air Force for 22 yrs, and is a member of American Legion Post 0180. He was retired from Ford Motor Company after 17 Yrs. of Service.
He is preceded in death by his parents Charles L. and Mary F. Offutt and three brothers. He is also preceded by his wife of 50 years Mary R. Offutt. Joseph is survived by three sisters ,three brothers, loving children, Dorothy M., Donna J. (Terry W.), Mary E., and Joseph C., Ten Grandchildren; Thirteen Great Grandchildren; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1406 E. Washington St. Louisville, KY 40206, with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 on Thursday and 2-8 on Friday. Online condolences may be made to archlheadycralle.com..
