I remember Joe fondly from the years that we worked together at One Stroke Inks.  I always loved his laugh.  I know that Joe will be greatly missed!

Thank you for loving me and my family.  You were a second Dad to me and I cherish every moment I had with you.  I love the way you lived life and made each day/moment count.  I love the way you made everyone feel like they were special and that who they were and what they were doig was important. When I think of Joe Meeks these are a few things that come to my mind - strenth, generosity, love, the Kentucky Wildcats, fun, and of course the best Kentucky Derby Party in the world - year in and year out. I DONT THINK ANYONE WHO MET MY UNCLE JOE MEEKS SR HAD A BAD WORD TO SAY ABOUT HIM. HE WAS ALWAYS THE LIFE OF THE PARTY AND WHEN YOU NEEDED SOMEONE TO TALK TO HE WAS THERE. Uncle Joe, you are my uncle,my second dad and my friend. I will never forget all the good times we had together. I could  and still can go to you when I'm having issues with life, work, and UK sports. I can't count how many times that you said "that's imiterial, who gives a blank, woopty blanken do and your goofy goofy". That was great advice because you always said take care of whats needed and have a good time.You could dance like no one I ever seen. The Joe Pirtle dance will live on and every time I do your dance help give me the energy and rythem you had. I love you and will miss you so much.

Through all the smiles and tears, so many memories of all the things we did growing up. You and your family were a huge part of my life on Floyd St. The mold was broken when God made you, you were definetly one of a kind. Thanks for sharing some years of your life with us, we gave it hell didn't we? Everything you did you did it BIG! and this world is going to be a quieter place without you.
