He was a faithful member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church, and a proud Navy veteran who served in the Korean War. He was retired from Brown Forman Corp., where he worked for 40 years. He spent his retirement years playing golf, bingo, and bowling, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren. Joe will be remembered by most for his incredible sense of humor, and joke telling.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethele Hall; and all of his siblings. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Robert “Bob” Hall and his wife Michelle; grandsons, James Hall and Jason Hall(Katie), Justin Penland(Jennifer) and Bryan Penland(Olivia); great-grandchildren, Izabella, Cayden, Lillian, Xena, and Onyx Hall, and Ace and Knox Penland; along with many family and friends who loved him.
The family would like to thank the staff from Brookdale Stonestreet that cared for him during his stay there. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you make a donation to Hosparus of Louisville in Joe’s memory. The funeral and burial will be private.
