Joseph "Dan" Daniel Greenwell

Dan worked at General Electric for 35-plus years in the electrical maintenance department. He also served our country proudly in the United States Air Force.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Annabelle Mattingly Greenwell; son, Lindsey Martin Greenwell; his brothers, James William “Billy” Greenwell, James Raymond “Jimmy” Greenwell, Jr., John Frederick “Freddy” Greenwell, Charles Franklin Greenwell, Francis Edward Greenwell, and Thomas Steven “Steve” Greenwell; sisters Virginia Ann “Gingy” Hagan, and Stella Louise Miles.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; son, Johnny (Patty) Greenwell, daughter, Shannon (Rick) Greenwell Bourgoin, stepson, Mark (Elizabeth) Pichea, and step-daughter Erin Pichea; a sister-in-law, Lyn Carter, a brother, Phillip Allen “Phil” Greenwell; sisters Elizabeth “Jane” Cole, Mary “Joan” Ayers, Martha Susan “Sue” Absher, Laura Edna Kesten, Jettie “Caroline” Piszczek, Marie Pauline “Polly” Greenwell, Nancye Jean Lane, Rosa Belle Sweeney, and Dorothy “June” Boyles. Dan is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00PM on Monday at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel at 4400 Bardstown Road, with entombment at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 11:00AM to 4:00PM on Monday with service to follow.

The family requests that memorial donations be made in Dan’s name to the American Heart Association.
