He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Lee and Mattie Hazel Stowers; and brother, James Stowers.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 64 years, Patricia A. Stowers; sons, John D. Stowers (Carol) and Thomas E. Stowers (Peggy); grandchildren, Heather, David (Ashley), Aaron, and Christopher; and siblings, Earl Stowers (Bonnie), Lewis Stowers, and Janette Swink.
