John graduated from Miami Senior High School and the University of Florida. He was a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and served two years in the US Army 1956-58.
John worked his entire career in the printing industry. He spent 16 years at Printcrafters, Inc. in Hialeah serving as Vice President before moving to California where he spent 15 years at Bowne of Los Angeles.
He is survived by two nieces and their families, Barbara Murphy, Canton, GA, Jeannette & David Wilkins, Cartersville, GA, a nephew Bill McLean, Norfolk, VA and his partner of 47 years Jim Brent, Burbank, CA.
