MELLO, John Wayne, 59, of Louisville, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 15th, at Baptist Health. He was a retired new car driver for Ford Motor Company. Mr. Mello was active in the Teamsters and a member of the American Quarter Horse Association. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jonathan Mello; a sister, Mary Mello and his father, William Mello. Mr. Mello is survived by two daughters, Brandy Starr and Tiffany Mello; three grandchildren, Brenden, Taylor and Lexi; his mother, Elvira Mello; and his brothers, Billy Mello (JoAnne); Keith Mello (Malynda), Kevin and Jeffery Mello. Funeral service will be on Saturday, May 18th, at 10 am at St. Rita Catholic Church with interment following in Brookland Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 2pm until 8pm at the Arch L. Heady Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 8519 Preston Highway. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the National Kidney Foundation or Donate Life America.
