John "Jack" May

John C. “Jack” May, 86, our beloved entered Heavens gates on July 4, 2015. He was born on January 19, 1929 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Jack and Louise May. H e was retired after 40 years working at Southern Graphic Services. He was a loving family man and was a member of the Graphic Communications/IBT Local 619.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son, David May.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Betty Lou May; sons, Jack May (Cora), Steve May (Andrea), Martin May (Susan); daughters, Lou Hardaway (Hugh), Maggie May, Linda Brown (Bruce), Bonnie Williamson, Krissie Bredhold, Julie Powell (Terry; a daughter-in-law, Erin; brother, Bill May (Maureen) as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the loving care from the staff at Meadowview Health and Rehab, Louisville Palliative Care, Dr. Jane Cornett and Staff and his doctors and staff for many years.

A celebration of his life will be conducted Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 2 pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with private entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10-2 on Thursday at the funeral home.
