John B. Liddell Sr.

Always considered a “good” friend to those he knew, John enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during his lifetime. While serving in the US Marines, he made some life long buddies, whom he still kept in contact with.

John was the owner of JB Liddell Insurance Agency, and a US Marine Veteran. He was in the 1st Marine Air Wing in Japan, and the 2nd Marine Air Wing in Cherry Point, NC. His fellow Marines viewed him as a brother in arms and knew that he was as much a part of their family as their loved ones back home.

He was a Kentucky Colonel.

John was preceded in death by his son, Joseph B. Liddell; twin sister, Jean; brother, Olin Liddell; sister, Tommy; brother, Steve H. Liddell; and brother, Billy Liddell.

He is survived by his wife, Anna "Jo" Liddell; son, John B. Liddell Jr.; brother, Oscar "Dick" Liddell; daughter-in law, Sheila Liddell; three grandchildren, Joshua R. Liddell, Katy Liddell, and Claire Liddell; great-granddaughter, Natalie Liddell; nephew, Terry Liddell. Services will be conducted at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village at 12:00pm on Thursday. Burial with Military honors will be in Kentucky Veteran's Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky. Visitation will also be held on Thursday from 10:00am - 12:00pm at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village
