John S. Lawrence II

John S. Lawrence II, 79, of Louisville, passed away on April 29, 2023. He was born on May 23, 1943 in Altoona, PA to the late John and Regina Lawrence. He is preceded in death by his partner of many years Christina Lawrence. Left to cherish his memory are his children; John S. Lawrence III (Michelle), David Lawrence, and Suzanne Lawrence, step-children; Amie Engle and Amanda Sea (Sidney), grandchildren; Nyah Lawrence, Tessa Lawrence, Thomas Lawrence, Gina Lawrence, and Dalton Sea.

John was a huge UofL Cardinal fan and always had season tickets to every event. The Indy 500 was another favorite of his. While attending Brandywine College in Delaware, John also served in the Army and Air Force Reserves. He then began his sales career selling anything and everything. In 1980 he started his own sales company specializing in pet supplies.

John was a longtime member of Risen Lord Lutheran Church as well as board member. He donated consistently to the church in every form possible whether it be monetary, clothing, furniture etc. His true love language was through countless Hallmark cards sent for every occasion under the sun. Yes! John, we will miss your cards deeply!

A funeral service will be held on Friday May 12, 2023 2pm with visitation prior from 12pm-2pm at Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home 2428 Frankfort Ave. Louisville, KY 40206. Memorial contributions can be made in John’s name to the Risen Lord Lutheran Church 5138 Taylorsville Rd. Taylorsville, KY 40071.
