He was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church and a retiree from General Electric. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolphus and Mary Hattie Pendleton Hardesty.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 54 years, Eileen Eisenback Hardesty; son, Gerald R. Hardesty; daughters, Deanna (Johnnie) Baker, Janet M. (Gerald) Young, Ellen (Earl) Baker, Laura M. (Bill Jr.) Ladusaw; grandchildren, Chris, James and Stephan Baker, Matthew and Austin Young and Ashley and Justin Ladusaw.
John's Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2011 at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 5915 Outer Loop, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Mass of the Air or Hosparus.
