John L. Frandsen, 77, of Mt. Washington, KY died peacefully in his sleep Friday morning Oct. 19, 2012 at his residence. John was born Jan. 2, 1935 in Correctionville, Iowa to the late John M. and Rose (Shutt) Frandsen.
He was a 1952 graduate of Danbury High School and a member of the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1957. He was a resident of Vienna, WV from 1968 to 2004 and was employed for over twenty years as a CRNA at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
John and his late wife Rachel lived in Orrville, OH from 2004 until her passing in January of 2007. He then moved to Mt. Washington, KY in 2008.
John was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family as well as indulging in his passion for Indian artifact collecting.
Surviving members of his family are daughters, Jonni (David) Day of Whitehouse, TN., and Karen (Stephen) Lewis of Orrville, OH., sons Neal A. Frandsen of Columbus, OH., and Brent Frandsen of Elizabethtown, KY. A brother Walt of Jeffersontown, KY., sisters Irene Van Houton of Battle Creek, IA. and Mary Schultz of Kiron, IA. Grandchildren, Michael and Nicholas Day, Autumn and April Frandsen, Kelsey and Paige Lewis. Great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Harrison Day, Vienna Wood, and Mackenzie Lee, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
