John Emly

He was born on May 15th 1936 to the late John E Emly and Marguerite Hartstern Emly.

John graduated from Fern Creek High School and later served proudly in the US Army.

He retired from GE Appliance after 40 years of service. He was also a member of The Okolona Christian Church where he loved and worship the Lord and all his many blessing.

John Loved working on the Back Forty, traveling and spending the winters in Naples, Fl.

He was met at the gates of Heaven by his parents and his infant brother.

John leaves behind his best friend and loving wife, Pat Rasmussen Emly; daughters, Victoria (Joe) Codispoti, Valerie (Gene) Webb, and Robin (Tim) Gray.

He also leaves his grandchildren, Brittany (Andy), Amanda (Kyle), Christina (Chris), Allie, Zack, Ashley, Holly, and Conner; great-grandchildren, Mason, Ava, Penelope, Braxton, Ryder, Everett, Makayla, and Domonic; brothers Jim (Betty) Emly and Joe (Barbara) Emly; and many other family and friends

A funeral service will be on Tuesday, July 16th at 2:00pm at Arch L Heady at Resthaven (4400 Bardstown Rd). visitation held on Tuesday July 16th from 12:00pm until service.
