John Cain

John Cain, 74, passed away on January 10, 2019. He was born on July 16, 1944 in Louisville, to the late Howard T. and Mary Gladys Cain. John proudly served his country in the Navy and received an honorable discharge. He retired from Ford Motor Company after many years of loyal work and was an avid sailor and Cardinals fan.

John is preceded in death by his brothers, Dan Cain, Howard “Bud” Cain and Bobby Cain; and his sisters, Fanny Williams and Betty Whobrey.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 38 years, Becky Cain; his children, John A. Cain (Jenny), Shannon Cain and Jennifer Fuchs (Joe); a grandson, Andrew Cain; a brother, Jimmy Cain (Sandy); a grand dog, Lola Jean; and many nieces, nephews and close friends all who will miss him very dearly.

A service to celebrate John’s life will take place on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, at 10 am. The family will accept guests for visitation on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 1-8pm. Memorial donations can be made in John’s honor to the Barrow Neurological Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or Outreach.
