She was a retired payroll clerk for the old W.T. Grant Co. and a member of Chapel Hill United Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Volk, Sr., and her son William Volk, Jr.
Survivors include her daughters Susan Graham (Marshall), Barbara Fritz, Carole Hogan, and Deborah Harrod (Jim); 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, followed by burial at Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Monday.
