Jerry Harris

78, of Louisville, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012.

Jerry was a retired Jefferson County Police Officer with 27 years of service, a charter member of the FOP Lodge 14, and a veteran of the United States Navy.

He is preceded in death by daughter, Susan Harris; parents, Virgil and Madge Harris and brother; Jim Harris; brother in law, Bob Heer.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty Harris; Son and daughter in law, Michael and Elizabeth Harris and grandchildren, Drew and Danielle Harris; Sister, Betty Jo Heer; and sister in law, Earlene Harris.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2012 at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway. There will be a FOP service 7:00pm Monday at the funeral home. His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the funeral home with burial in Memorial Gardens Louisville West.
