Jerry R. Gaines, 79, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018.
He was born on November 23, 1938 in London, KY to the late James M. and Gladys I. Gaines. Jerry retired from General Electric, served our country in the Army National Guard, and was a member of the Moose Lodge and the PWP. He was also known for his love of UK sports!
Here to carry on his memory are his children, Michael Gaines and Jeri Gaines; grandchildren, Jacqueline Alexandra “Alex” Gaines, Victoria “Tori” Elizabeth Gaines Jada Lee Rogers and Lola Rae Shawler; siblings, Yolanda Cartwright and James “Jimmy” Gaines (Sandy); along with his niece, Jennifer McCall Kuhl (Troy).
Visitation will take place on Friday, January 26th from 2-8pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. A service to celebrate Jerry’s life will be held at 12pm Saturday, January 27th at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
