Jerry was born November 9, 1947. He entered Heaven’s Gate May 12, 2022. Loving son of Edwin T. and Mary C. Carr, as well as a loving brother to Thomas Carr.
Jerry was a 1965 graduate of Seneca High School and also a graduate of Western Kentucky University. He was a veteran of the Kentucky Army National Guard. Jerry was a retired teacher with JCPS where he taught art and photography for 27 years at Thomas Jefferson. He was a very big music fan as well as an avid U of L fan. Always a positive and upbeat individual he had a love for life that he shared with all who knew him. Jerry spent the last 20 years of his life between Louisville and Naples, Florida. He loved the beach and the ocean. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven 4400 Bardstown Road on Saturday June 25, 2022 from 12PM to 4PM.
