Jennifer Liz Pruett

Jennifer Liz "Jenny" Pruett 37, of Louisville, passed away May 2, 2016. Jenny was a 1996 graduate of Western High School and a 2001 graduate of Western Kentucky University where she was a founding member of the Omega Phi Alpha Sorority. She also obtained her master's degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and her Rank I from the University of the Cumberlands.

Currently Jenny was serving as a devoted school teacher with JCPS at Wilkerson Traditional Elementary. She was an asset to her Wilkerson family, always willing to help everyone. She touched many lives in her tenure as an educator both in and outside the walls of Wilkerson. Jenny was an avid reader who loved to travel and who was also passionate about anything pertaining to science. She was a loving daughter and sister, devoted aunt, and caring friend to many.

She is preceded in death by her father Hoy Pruett. Left to cherish her memory is her mother Yvonne Pruett, sister Ann Howard (Sean), niece Sarah Howard, nephew Quentin "Quen" Pruett and extended family Kelly Boyd and Joey Decker.

A service to celebrate the life of Jenny will be held 2 pm Thursday at Evergreen Funeral Home with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home after 12 noon prior to the service.
