Jean Grace Norman Owens, 91, of St. Matthews, passed away Tuesday, at her home. She was born June 5, 1926 to the late John R. and Grace Williams Norman. She was a 1944 graduate of Atherton High School, and was retired as a office manager for the University Child Health Specialist. Jean was a greeter for several years with the Arch L. Heady Funeral Homes, a former member of St. Stephen U.C.C., Salem U.C.C. and was active now with Crescent Hill United Methodist Church. She loved singing with the Silver notes, and the Joyous Singers, and was a active member of L I F T (Living Information For Today).
She was preceded in death also by her husband, Raymond Owens, and her twin sister Susan Norman Romer.
She is survived by her 3 sons, Richard Norman Owens, Robert Stuart Owens, Sr. (Debbie), their children, Courtney Owens Olsofka (Dr. John, "her favorite grandson-in-law") and their children Eden Katherine & Emily John, and Robert Owens Jr. (Maggie) and their children Harper Ann and their soon to be expected son, and Lawrence William Owens, Sr. (Lynn) and their children Larry Owens, Jr. (Kelley) and children Grayson & Easton, Deanna Owens, Robbie Owens (Misti) and their children Layla & Carli, and Tammy Owens Markert and her children Aaron, Elizabeth, and Ethan.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 21st, 2-3 pm with services to celebrate Jean's life to follow at 3:00 pm at Crescent Hill United Methodist Church, 201 S. Peterson Avenue, Louisville, KY.
