James Grant Walton

He was born September 27, 1948 to James and Esther Walton in Louisville, Ky. He graduated from Western Kentucky University.

After many years serving as restaurant manager at The Colonnade, Kaelin’s, and Shoney’s restaurants, Jim’s “retirement job” was working as a bank teller at Stock Yards Bank.

He was an avid University of Louisville fan, holding football season tickets for over 20 years. But his greatest love was the beach, where he, Pat and the family spent many blissful days, soaking up the sun and enjoying seafood dinners.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Walton, his children Jason Walton and Carlye Walton, his step-children Shawn Whelan and Adam Duffy, his sister Connie Pruitt (Don), his brother-in-law David Parker and nephew James Parker. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Monnie Parker.

Visitation will be Monday, April 21, 10:00am - 12:00pm at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 2300 Taylorsville Road, Louisville Ky, 40205, with the memorial service to follow at the church at 12:00pm.
