James E. Walker Sr, 90, passed away on November 12, 2014. He was a World War ll Veteran serving proudly in the US Air Force, he had worked for the Ammunition plant in Indiana and also worked for National Distillers for 45 years. James also was an avid member of the Louisville Racing Pigeon Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Edith L. Walker and a daughter, Deloris M. Payne.
He is survived by his sister, Deloris D. Walker and his children James E. Walker Jr. (Suzie), Nancy J. Bryan (Rick), and Richard L. Walker (Adelaide) and son in law Larry Payne.
He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 1:00 PM in Arch L. Heady Russman and Son Funeral Home, 1201 East Oak Street, with burial at Resthaven Memorial Park and Visitation Friday, November 14, 2014 from 4-8.
