James Clayton Romans, 85, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 following a long illness.
James was born November 3, 1928 to the late Clayton Romans and Alice Meil Romans and he was a graduate of St. Xavier High School. He was an avid fisherman and especially enjoyed fishing the Kentucky lakes during the summer and Lake Okeechobee in the winter.
He was a retired truck driver for the old Cooper-Jarrett Trucking, and served in the Army during the Korean War as an intelligence communications specialist.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Delores O’Brien Romans; step-daughters, Debbie Towler (Bob) and Tracy Hurst (Terry); grandchildren, Jeffrey, Brent, Brian, and Brittany; and 3 great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, followed by burial at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Friday.
