Jim was born on December 12, 1959 in Fort Knox, Kentucky to the late James Howard Reece, Sr. and Bette Virginia Wilson Reece. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, James and Bette; brothers, Mike Reece and Duane Reece and his nephew, Jeremy W. Disney.
Jim was a proud US Marine Veteran. He retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a Parole Officer. He had an unconditional love for his children, as well as he admired music and was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcats Fan! Jim was a loving and caring soul, his smile would light up a room! He will truly be missed by all.
Left to cherish Jim's memory are his four children, Cora Mariana, James Oscar, Ana Virginia, Sylvia Estella Reece; sisters, Denise Disney (Jerry), Bev Marshall; brother, Tommy Jenkins (Mary); nephew, Donnie Smith; his grandson, Mylo Oscar Reece; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would to like to give a special thank you to all who have gave their unconditional love, support and care during this heartfelt time, your kindness will always be cherished!
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40213, followed by an AMVETS Memorial at 7:30 p.m. A service to honor the life of Jim will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at the funeral home. Jim will be laid to rest at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky.
