Redmon, James R. "Rick" 69, passed away July 9, 2016. Rick was a proud US Army veteran that served in the Vietnam War. He retired after many years from Gould's Medical and was a faithful member of Virginia Ave Methodist Church. Rick had a love for the outdoors and was an avid UK fan. He was preceded in death by his parents James Sr. and Betty Redmon and brother James Dennis Redmon. Rick leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 47 years Janet Redmon, children Stacey Kopeck (Chris) and Richard Redmon, step grandchildren Nolan and Neela Kopeck and siblings Marsha Chadwick and Brenda Azevedo (Bill). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A service to honor the life of Rick will be held Tuesday at 12pm in the chapel of Arch L Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 2-8pm at the funeral home and will resume Tuesday at 10am until the start of the funeral.
