James "Roger" Mattingly of Louisville passed away at the age of 79 on August 15th 2024.
He is preceded in death by his son Jason; his grandson Sean; the mother of his children Rita; brother Danny Pullen and sister Wanda Cox.
He is survived by many Mattinglys: his sons Joe and Jimi; grandchildren Cameron, Hannah and Hanalei; and a great grandchild Baylee. He is also survived by Jeff Jenkins, who he considered a son, and his siblings, Mildred “Tootsie” Gauderman, Barry and Stevie Pullen.
He was a loving family man and Vietnam war veteran. He will be missed dearly.
A visitation for James will be held Friday, October 18, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven.
