He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, the Korean War, then retired from the Army Reserves as a Lt. Colonel. After returning from WWII, Bill returned to Indiana to complete his B.S. Degree in Forestry, graduating in 1947 from Purdue University. He retired from Kentucky Farm Bureau Federation.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Phyllis Ball, children: Jeffery H. Ball, Sharon Livers (Kenny), Trish Morton and Karen Crane. Grandchildren: Nikki Wolf(Hank), Jennifer Spain (Forrest), Sam Livers (Carrie), Ben Domhoff (Lauren), Stephanie Mills (Scott) and Beth Foust. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held at 2p.m., June 8, 2018 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd with inurnment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Guests are invited to attend visitation June 8 from Noon-2pm. The memorial service will begin at 2pm.
