Hubert D. Brawner, 86, of Louisville passed away January 4, 2013 at Norton Audubon Hospital. He was born on July 22, 1925 in Franklin County to the late Elliott Brawner and Hattie Roach. He was an electrical technician with International Harvester; a UAW 369 member and a Veteran of the United States ARMY serving in WWII.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two sisters, Sally Palsgrove and Mary Broughton; and two brothers, Everett Brawner and Mim Brawner.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Nancye Duvall Brawner; a son, Dan (Ellen) Brawner; four grandchildren, Tammy (Steve), Dannette (Jeff), Dwayne and Bryan; and seven great-grandchildren, Merideth, Natalie, Benjamin, Gabrielle, Meghan, Rachel and Bryson.
A celebration of his life will be conducted Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 2 pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday from 2-8 and Tuesday from 12-2 at the funeral home.
