Hazel Close Lampton, 93, passed away October 5, 2018. She was born in Hart Co. on February 22, 1925 to the late William and Minnie Close. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Lewis Lampton; step-daughter, Norma June Jackson; and sisters, Letha Birren and Hallie Fulcher.
She is survived by her brother, Grover L. Close (Frances); several nieces and nephews and their families; and four step-grandchildren and their families. A special thank you goes to Morning Pointe, Westport Place, and Hosparus for their loving care of our very special Aunt Hazel and Gran Gran.
A celebration of life will be held at 2pm Tuesday, October 9th with visitation from 11-2:00pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may go to the Navy Seals Foundation (in memory of Lewis and Hazel Lampton) of charity of choice.
