Rosenberger, Glenn C., 77 of Louisville, formally of Souderton, PA, passed away January 15, 2014 after fighting melanoma of the liver. Glenn was a member of the Shively Christian Church. He was a graduate of Penn State University and the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, CA where he obtained a masters degree in meteorology. He was a career Navy man, reaching the rank of Lt. Commander before his retirement in 1980. He then began his private meteorology career, working in Saudi Arabia and Palestine, TX where he launched scientific balloons for NASA. He officially retired again in 2005 and moved to Louisville to be with his sister Marie and her family. He was an avid gardener who grew enough vegetables to share with anyone who wanted them, from the mail carrier to the dentist's office. He loved to keep active and enjoyed winters in Florida, walking the beach and playing bocce. He loved to help his great nieces with their homework, even if he didn't agree with the textbooks. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marie R. Harris. He is survived by his daughter Kristy, niece Kolleen, nephews Brian and Kevin, his brother Lee (Cindy) and their children. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 6pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Arlington National Cemetery. The family will receive guests starting at 5pm.
